A gratitude rooted in toes
Soul not solely in the sole
But also in the upper cage
In the chests and cranium
Where resides the others
Experiencing your self as
One woman traveling with
Words to pay passages in
Countless recounting and
Endless comparisons and
Our disk drives full with it
Measured corded quanta
The memories we cannot
Make without unmakings
The memories we cannot
Make without unmakings
Risk taking when records
Don't get the clear picture
Hidden accomplishments
Blurred beneath our feats
Our foot passes heavy on
Our souls, feeling weight
Our soles covered in skin
Counting years for layers
Building up and rubbings
Leaving past paths worn
Trusting the mechanisms
And not trusting anything
Explanations falling short
Nothing sure aligning yet,
In that ringing out speech
Moving from there to here
Those many others, those
Needing to hear and heal
And called to my feet and
My heart and my cranium
Networked and interlaced
Between our toes powder
Crumbling powers remind
Us of all our shared labor
Walking roads connected
With brightly scented airs
Don't get the clear picture
Hidden accomplishments
Blurred beneath our feats
Our foot passes heavy on
Our souls, feeling weight
Our soles covered in skin
Counting years for layers
Building up and rubbings
Leaving past paths worn
Trusting the mechanisms
And not trusting anything
Explanations falling short
Nothing sure aligning yet,
In that ringing out speech
Moving from there to here
Those many others, those
Needing to hear and heal
And called to my feet and
My heart and my cranium
Networked and interlaced
Between our toes powder
Crumbling powers remind
Us of all our shared labor
Walking roads connected
With brightly scented airs
